Lab Scrubbers

Many production laboratories emit small quantities of gas. In some cases, the gas contains contaminants that must be removed prior to discharge. Envitech developed the lab scrubber to provide an economic solution for these applications. The lab scrubber is a packaged unit designed for high efficiency removal of water soluble contaminants and can handle up to 2,000 cfm of gas at a maximum temperature of 180°F. The system is engineered to minimize footprint and is fully assembled to minimize installation costs. Scrubber units are configurable to different levels of automation and treatment applications.

Laboratory emissions can provide multiple design challenges. Solvents, acids, and bases may be comingled, the gas may be corrosive to metals and plastics alike, and if it contains organics, the gas may be considered potentially explosive. Envitech can address all of these challenges with its lab scrubber. The lab scrubber is available in multiple configurations to handle acidic or basic emissions, or to use specialty absorbents for unusual applications. Envitech's experienced engineering staff can provide material recommendations to ensure an economic and long-lasting solution. Finally, all equipment can be provided to meet the National Electric Code (NEC) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines to safely treat hazardous emissions.
